<p><strong>DIMENSIONS:</strong></p>
<p>Save the Children has been working in Somalia for more than 60 years. The Country Office has over 500 staff across 14 field offices (Boroma, Burao and Hargeisa in Somaliland; Bosasso, Garowe, Galkayo and Gardo in Puntland; Beletweyne, Adaado, Abudwak, Baidoa, Kismayo, Dhobley and Mogadishu in Central South Somalia). Our Country Office coordination and administration base is in Nairobi, Kenya. In 2017, as a result of significant scale up for the countrywide drought response, our annual spend FY2017 was US$117 million and we reached more than 2 million people through our humanitarian and longer-term development work in Health, Nutrition, Water, Sanitation &amp; Hygiene (WASH), Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Child Protection and Child Rights Governance. <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p>

<li>Diploma of computer science or ICT</li>
<li>Fluency in English and Somali languages.</li>

<p><strong>EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Familiar with all the day-to-day aspects of managing the IT needs of an organisation, with specific areas of the role involving: familiarity with Windows and MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), LAN/WAN infrastructures (routers, modems, switches, etc.); trouble shooting and administering a Microsoft Windows based network (LAN) and servers; good working knowledge of Windows server and domain system configuration, antivirus software for workstations and servers etc.</li>
<li>Good communication skills, ability to work with minimum supervision and willingness to work in a team environment.</li>
<li>Fluency in written and spoken English</li>
<li>Previous experience in an INGO is an advantage but not a requirement</li>

<p><strong>*Summary of Position</strong></p>
<p>Under the direct supervision of the Field Research Coordinator, the Data Entry Clerk will input and update data from study participants cards into a digitized Action Against Hunger Research database. He /She will enter Study participants information on data base management in banadir Region.</p>
<p><strong>PURPOSE</strong></p>
<p>As a data entry, the staff will oversee the day to day updating of database information into the access databases. He/she will work closely with Action Against Hunger seconded MoH staff to collect the data from the field and provide technical support to respective field staff on identified needs.</p>
<p><strong>Engagement</strong></p>
<p>With the help of the field Research Coordinator, organize regular meetings with the MOH staff at the field level. • Participate in the monthly and quarterly data quality audits with the Field Research Coordinator.</p>
<p><strong>Delivery</strong></p>
<p>· Ensures timely submission of compiled Research reports.</p>
<p>· Provides support to MoH staff in the district.</p>
<p>· Ensure quality data collection from the supported health facilities through Relapse Nurse engagement at the district level.</p>

<p>• Transferring the data hard copy into the relevant data bases</p>
<p>• Maintaining all data bases updated new data and updating regularly the existing records in the data base</p>

<h3>About the Role</h3>
<p>The main responsibilities of this role will be to:</p>
<ol>
<li>Provide leadership in the development of strategic plans and budgets for all programs in the country.</li>
<li>Provide leadership to the Programme Team towards achieving the objectives of the Country Strategy of Muslim Aid Somalia.</li>
<li>Lead on development of programme ideas into quality grant proposals through a community based, participatory approach.</li>
<li>Ensure close monitoring of the program works in the field to ensure alignment and contribution to country strategy, monitor flow of information and systemic documentation of quantitative and qualitative achievements in the field and lessons learned thereof.</li>
<li>Ensure quality and timely submission of quarterly and annual or required Programme and Project Performance Reports as per desired standards and guidelines.</li>

<h3>About You</h3>
<p>To be successful in this role:</p>
<ol>
<li>Educated to Master’s degree level in International Development, International Relations or relevant field.</li>
<li>Minimum of 10 years work experience in a programme management position, including at least four years experience in a Head of Programming position.</li>
<li>Strong experience of leading programs development, implementation and proposal writing function and the ability to work effectively at both strategic and operational levels.</li>
<li>Strong experience in project grants management for large and complex projects, including project design, budget preparation, expenditure tracking, monitoring and evaluation, reporting, etc., for projects funded by multiple public donors such as DFID, NRC, EU, WFP and UNICEF.</li>
<li>Staff management experience and competencies that are conducive to fostering an open learning environment. Experience coaching and mentoring senior program staff.</li>

<p><strong>About the Job</strong></p>
<p>The Finance &amp; Administration Manager is responsible for the integrity of financial and analytical accounting within the Sub Structure. S/he oversees all financial resources and administrative activities such as management of premises and staff travel in the Sub-Structure.</p>
<p>This is a national/resident position based in Jowhar.</p>
<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Collects accounting documents from the field and ensures appropriate bookkeeping for the Sub-Structure</li>
<li>Prepares the annual budget, monthly forecast and risk reporting, cost-control and analysis of budget deviations</li>
<li>In charge of financial management and maintenance of offices and residential premise; maintains an appropriate security set-up, including safe accommodation for all staff</li>
</ul>
<p>· Responsible for proper management of the premise and ensures that all the passive security measures put in place are functioning</p>
<p>· Supports in all travel arrangements at the Sub Structure level</p>
<p>· Supports the office in Jowhar in its Logistics activities, ensures proper storage of all goods and maintains the bin cards</p>
<p>· Assists the Logistics team in Nairobi in transport management, cargo handling and storage, tax Exemption and import/export procedures</p>
<p>· Ensures that vehicles are ready to be driven at any time with all the documents, equipment and tools, following ICRC standards</p>
<p>· Supports the Human Resources function in organizing for interviews and written tests, appraisal process and absence management</p>
<p>· In close collaboration with the Human Resources department ensures compliance to statutory reporting and remittance requirements</p>
<p>· Supervises, coaches and evaluates performance for staff working in the Administration department at the Sub Structure level</p>
<p>· Adheres to the monthly reporting timelines</p>
<p><strong>Minimum qualifications and required competencies</strong></p>
<p>· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management or equivalent qualification in a related field of study</p>
<p>· At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position in Finance and Administration</p>
<p>· Detail-oriented, highly organized and practices strict adherence to timelines</p>
<p>· Excellent analytical, team management skills and a problem-solving attitude</p>
<p>· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</p>
<p>· Excellent command of English and Somali language</p>
<p>· Computer proficiency especially in MS Office suite</p>
<p>· Good knowledge of the social, economic and political affairs of the assigned region</p>
<p>· Possessing a strong degree of honesty and integrity, and a solid sense of ethics including the ability to appropriately handle confidential information</p>
