Job Overview:
Summary of Responsibilities: Working directly with program staff and partners to ensure compliance of the NEXUS project two donors, BMZ and GFFO. The project Finance Manager will primarily lead the management of the Nexus project as a whole and report to Senior budgeting and Financial Reporting Manager in close partnership with senior NEXUS coordinator and work closely with other team to ensure compliance on spending and take a lead on both internal and external financial reporting. As most of the project implementation is done by partners, the Project Finance Manager will be responsible for working with all relevant parties to ensure accurate and timely partner disbursements, liquidation and expenses posting to reflect in our books.
Purpose of the Role
The Project Finance Manager will specifically work on the Nexus project comprising BMZ and GFFO grants supporting the program teams in ensuring compliance in budgeting, spending and reporting in accordance with IRC and donor requirements on a timely basis. (S)He will develop budget management tools and conduct training to improve efficiency for donor reporting and compliance.
Scope and Authority
This position will be expected to work closely with program and finance colleagues in managing BMZ and GFFO funding from the inception, implementation, reporting and auditing phases. The position will have no line management authority.
Grants Financial Management (50%)
Grants Financial Reporting and internal reconciliation (30%)
Work closely with supply chain department to ensure the inventory for the projects are distributed on a timely basis to charge the grant within the correct period.
