About HIJRA
Humanitarian Initiative Just Relief Aid (HIJRA) is an international African humanitarian and development organization that aims to positively contribute towards improving the living standards and conditions of those adversely affected by disasters and conflict in the Horn and East Africa.
HIJRA has been responding to the humanitarian crisis in Somalia since 1991 through the various program which includes health and nutrition, food security and livelihood, WASH, protection, and education. Through funding from UNOCHA, HIJRA is currently responding to flood response in Wanwalein District through Health and nutrition projects by providing primary health care and nutrition service.
Job Summary:
To provide consultation services for all communicable and non-communicable diseases during the medical mobile outreaches within program area of operation
Responsibilities and Duties
- Consultation and diagnosis of disease
- Treatment of disease
- Prescribing drugs according to diagnosis
- Ordering and interpreting medical tests
- performing routine medical and surgical procedures
- referring patients to other practitioners
- managing mobile medical teams
- documenting patient information
- Writing program report including activity, weekly, monthly and quarterly
- Any other duty assigned by the supervisors
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered with relevant regulation body (The Clinical Officers Council)
- Diploma or higher education in clinical medicine
- Have a valid medical practicing license
- At least 5 years working experience in a community set up
