REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)

Consultancy services for elaboration of detailed design of selected infrastructure measures in Baidoa

The ILO has received funds from the KfW and part of the funds will be used to rehabilitate selected infrastructure in Baidoa to improve accessibility, create employment opportunities and improve the livelihoods of IDPs, returning refugees and their host communities. The project will rehabilitate about 20km of road, assess capacity and design two (2) water crossing structures and rehabilitation of 2 markets. The project will also provide capacity development to Ministry of Public Works (MoPW) (Baidoa), Baidoa District Administration (BDA), Local construction companies and beneficiaries to establish design and implement employment intensive and local resources-based approach in infrastructure development.

To facilitate the process, an engineering of the infrastructure consulting company will be required to carry out the design

RFP includes a description of the services to be provided by respondents; the minimum content of the responses; and the factors to be used to evaluate the responses. The selected firm will provide detailed design services, including preparation of working drawings, labour-based specifications, and draft tender documents.
