Job Objectives
Planning, directing, and coordinating all HRM activities of Al-Islami to maximize the strategic use of the involved human resources and managing the Human Resource and Administration functions.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To:

⦁ Maintaining HR issues including personnel records of Al-Islami employees
⦁ Developing job descriptions of the employees
⦁ Designing and updating company structure
⦁ Checking and overseeing daily HR operational activities & checking the progress later on
⦁ Determining the causes of staff problems and build up recommendations for improvement of company’s personnel policies and practices
⦁ Conducting exit and entry interviews so that Al-Islami identifies why employees join or leave the company
⦁ Administering and evaluating the compensation benefits being offered by Al-Islami
⦁ Conducting employee training needs assessment to pave the way for employee training and development programs
⦁ Advising the CEO on the strategic issues such as equal employment opportunities and recommendation of needed changes
⦁ Conducting new staff recruitment and selection activities, including induction and orientation programs
⦁ Advising the CEO on the issues regarding company development and change management
⦁ Forecasting future employment needs
⦁ Monitoring daily/monthly attendance records of the employees & reporting it
⦁ Performs other duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate (Essential Knowledge and Skills Required):

⦁ An MBA/BBA holder from a reputed university/institute, having specialization in Human Resource Management or relevant experience
⦁ Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources
⦁ Knowledge of procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training and development and compensation packages are necessary
⦁ Knowledge of management principles such as strategic planning and leadership techniques are required
⦁ Has the knowledge of the Somali laws and legal issues and other government regulations in our country (to some extent at least)
⦁ Has the ability to understand the human behaviors and evaluate their performance individually or in groups
⦁ Expert in training design and its methodology
⦁ Can motivate and direct other people in the work, and have the ability to identify the best performers for the job
⦁ Has the ability to communicate effectively
⦁ Has to be aware of other people’s reactions
⦁ Good team player and able to display considerable initiatives
⦁ Computer literate
⦁ Has to be productive and creative
