Human Resource and Administration officer – Baidoa – Open to Somali Nationals Only

Role Dimensions:

Save the Children operates across all zones in Somalia and currently has three main area offices and additional 11 field offices. Programmatically Somalia is a large Country Office with more than $110million annual budget and staff over 650 staff.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Field Manager – Baidoa

Reports to (Technically): Area HR/Admin Manager

Staff directly reporting to this post: HR/Admin Assistant**,** Cook and Cleaners

ROLE PURPOSE:

The HR and Admin Officer is part of support services in Baidoa Office and responsible to provide effective & efficient administration and human resources services, while managing admin and HR functions in Baidoa programme and provide advises to managers in accordance with Save the Children’s corporate policies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, economics or related. or diploma with relevant professional experience
  • Previous experience of managing a similar personal administrative work.
  • Minimum 2 years proven work experience in administration and personal management within a busy working environment such as private company or INGOs
  • Good English language command.
  • Good computer and writing skills.
  • Supportive personnel management style.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and ability to work as part of a professional team
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines Proven ability to handle challenging workload
  • Cross-cultural experience, understanding and sensitivity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills;
