How can you make a difference?

Scope of Work:

Under the direction and guidance of the Chief of WASH and the WASH Manager, the Information Management and reporting consultant will support the WASH Section with information/data visual products and reports. The Information Management and reporting specialist will liaise closely with UNICEF donor relation, UNICEF PME section, Zonal offices and UNICEF WASH TPM on Programme monitoring and Reporting.

Whilst working remotely, the Consultant will liaise with the Chief of WASH in Somalia in fulfilling the following: 1) Collating and interpretation of WASH data and information from UNICEF TPM (Third Party Monitors)

2) Collating and responding to requirements from Donor TPM (Third Party Monitors).

3) Drafting donor reports as per UNICEF and specific donors’ requirement and visual products/ Presentations.

4) Preparation of WASH sitreps.

Collating, interpretation, and reporting will entail: a) Maintenance of a data base.

b) Review of field reports.

c) Production of 45 high quality reports over a period of 346 day.

The reporting timeline, reporting format and quality control will be done in accordance with UNICEF standards.

Working Remotely, With occasional visits to Mogadishu, Garowe and Hargeisa (as per UNICEF request).

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

  •  Advanced degree is required in one of the following fields: international relations, political science, communications, international development, or another relevant technical field.
  •  Proven record of excellent English writing, communication and design skills. Must be creative and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills (thinks outside of the box), good networking and collaboration skills paired with the ability to inspire others and strong drive for results.
  •  At least two years’ experience in international development, including UNICEF experience in both humanitarian and development context and strong knowledge of UNICEF systems for donor relations and reporting.
  •  Demonstrated ability to design products in an easy to digest, visually appealing format.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. It does not apply to consultants who will work remotely and are not expected to work on or visit UNICEF premises, programme delivery locations or directly interact with communities UNICEF works with, nor to travel to perform functions for UNICEF for the duration of their consultancy contracts.
