Overview of position

•  CTG is looking for qualified staff as per TOR below

Role objectives

•  Install, configure, operate & maintain HP & Cisco server hardware, firmware & management software.
•  Install, configure, operate, administer & provide support for VMWare server virtualization platforms & Windows & Linux operating systems.
•  Implement backups of servers following standard backup procedures.

Project reporting

•  Report to the line manager

Key competencies

•  Minimal 5 year experience in installing, configuring & managing server hardware & VMWare virtualized environments & Windows & Linux operating systems in large & complex environments.
•  Experience in managing & monitoring HP rack & blade systems, Cisco UCS-E blades.
•  Experience with Symantec net backup & EMC data domain products.
•  Experience with a project management methodology such as PMP, PRINCE2, etc.
•  Knowledge of the ITIL framework.
•  Experience in customer services & the ability to provide a professional interface with the user community.
•  Good interpersonal skills.
•  Attention to detail.
•  Proven ability to work under pressure.
•  Ability to work outside normal working hours if required.
•  Industry recognized certifications are an asset.
