Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Contribute to the development and updating of the MEAL work plan and MEAL framework for all ongoing projects in the assigned area.
  • Ensure that MEAL observations/conclusions are taken into account and recommendations are incorporated into future concept notes, project proposals, and implementation plans;
  • Undertake regular visits to the field to support implementation of project objectives and to identify milestones and challenges where adaptations might be needed.
  • Tracks, analyze, and regularly reports on program indicators, progress against targets, program successes, and lessons learned
  • Support surveys, monitoring and evaluations activities.
  • Supervise data collection and ensure that the enumerators are trained and are organized and as necessary;
  • Measure and report qualitative and quantitative data on processes, outcomes, deliverables, impact, target and performance indicators for all projects;
  • Provide data to the program team for use in reporting;
  • Ensure the elaboration of success stories, in collaboration with the program team.

Contribute to the Beneficiary Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM)

  • Contribute to the implementation of the Beneficiary Complaint Response Mechanism (CRM) in line with CESVI’s standard CRM procedures;
  • Work on the understanding and ability of CESVI teams, partners and contractors to rely on beneficiary accountability and CRM procedures.

  • Perform any other related activity as assigned by the line manager.

Required Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant degree (Project Planning and Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, social science).
  • At least 3 years working in emergency contexts for an international NGO with MEAL experience;
  • Previous proven experience in Somalia in similar roles.
  • Good understanding of monitoring and evaluation processes and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Somali, both written and oral.
  • Proven planning and time management skills.
  • Good team player, flexible, and able to work under pressure.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Proven experience in Digital Data Gathering.
  • Experience working in unsafe environments.
