Programme Assistant-Nutrition 2 (Emergency Roster) -Open to Somali Nationals Only

Role Dimensions:

Save the Children operates across all zones in Somalia/Somaliland and currently has three main area offices and additional 11 field offices. Programmatically Somalia is a large Country Office with more than $100million annual budget turnover, more than 70 active awards at any time and over 650 staff.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: Nutrition Programme Coordinator

Staff directly reporting to this post: N/A

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Programme Assistant will be responsible for day-to-day program implementation and managing community outreach activities to ensure efficient and effective sensitisation, mobilisation and participation of the targeted communities and other stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

Higher diploma in health science (Nurse/Midwife/Public Health, Community Health/Nutrition/medicine/pharmaceutical

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential * One year of Experience * Excellent verbal and written communication * Have good engagement with community & experience in community mobilization * Good understanding in local language and culture practises. * Ability and willingness to frequently travel and stay at the field * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in diverse teams
