INTERNATIONAL WARS AND DISASTERS VICTIMS’ PROTECTION ASSOCIATION (IRVD) is a non -governmental organization established by a group of volunteers in Syria during the crisis in 2012 and registered in the USA, Sweden, and turkey.

IRVD is implementing projects through regional offices in Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, and Somalia.

Our work sectors are Health, Nutrition, Education, Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Protection, Shelter &Non-food items, Wash and Sanitation.

IRVD also manages development projects, advocates to empower civil societies and local governance.

Job Description

IRVD is looking for a highly skilled and effective warehouse keeper to manage warehouse operations within monthly and weekly inventory reports. He is responsible for monitoring consumption and reporting on materials within the warehouse.

Responsibilities:

  • Check the number of packages with the shipping statement, inspect the packaging and the state of the packages, and inform the direct manager of any issues (missing or damaged goods) in each goods entry to the warehouse.
  • update the electronic inventory of the warehouse, immediately after receiving the goods, and after signing the final receipt note for the materials/parcels that match the order.
  • When receiving a stock exit memo, make sure it is signed by both the requester and project manager. After delivering the materials to the requester, ensure that you have updated the inventory tracking file.
  • Conduct a electronic inventory by calculating the stock entry and exit memos and updating the remaining items in the warehouse on a weekly basis.
  • with the presence of the project manager, conduct a physical inventory of the warehouse by matching the theoretical inventory with the physical one monthly.
  • Monitor consumption and report any increase or decrease in the consumption of any material.
  • Submit supply requests before the end of inventory, so that the remaining inventory covers the supply period, to ensure that no material is depleted from the warehouse until the next shipment arrives.
  • Receive requests from other centers through the warehouse manager at the main office, prepare the requested materials, and coordinate with other departments to ship the materials.
  • Ensure that all items are well-organized, stored properly, well-protected, and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, cameras, fire extinguishers, accessibility, etc.).
  • Keep special monitoring for “sensitive” materials and expiration dates, packaging, and special storage conditions.
  • Monitor the temperature of the warehouse and ensure that drugs and other materials are stored at an appropriate temperature.
  • Report any damaged materials and submit a report on their condition and coordinate with the direct manager to carry out the disposal process.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the manager within his/her jurisdiction.

Ability to:

  • Ability to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments.
  • Ability to conduct work in a professional and mature manner.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in economics, business administration or any related field.
  • Professional experience in the same field of not less than two years and not less than one year in warehouse management
  • Excellent reporting, documentation, and archiving skills.
  • Good computer and office skills.
  • Accuracy in monitoring work, inventory, and warehouses

Languages:

  • Arabic and English are mandatory (oral and written)
