The World Bank Group is accepting applications for one of its Flagship programs, known as the World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (WBG YPP). The Young Professionals Program is a starting point for a career at the World Bank. Young professionals join the World Bank Group as Technical Specialists, Economists, and Associate Investment Officers for a two-year term that may be followed by a five-year renewable contract based on performance. The Program aims to solve the world’s most pressing development challenges to improve the lives of millions globally. Young Professionals may be required to relocate to Washington, D.C., or any of the World Bank Group country offices worldwide.

- Global Rotations across WBG: YPs participate in at least one rotation within their home institution, with some engaging in additional rotations at another institution, to develop and apply skills across the business.

Eligibility Criteria

- Open to the Nationals of a World Bank Group member country
- The World Bank welcomes all qualified individuals from diverse professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds to apply.
- Must have completed a four-year undergraduate program.
- Master’s degree graduates can also apply.
- A minimum of a master’s degree is required, in addition to 2 to 6 years of professional work experience.
- If you are pursuing a doctorate, full-time doctoral research studies in a relevant field at an accredited institution may count towards the required work experience. Be sure to complete a PhD degree before September 1, 2026.
- There is no flexibility on the age requirement.
